Where we are, and how to get here

Getting here

Coming to the château

The château is reached by car. That is the price of the quiet — and what puts you under an hour from the D-Day beaches as well as the villages of the bocage.

By car from Paris

A13 to Caen, then A84 towards Villers-Bocage. Around 2 hrs 45 outside of traffic. The last stretch runs on small country roads: follow the navigation to the end, the entrance is on Route d'Orbois.

From Caen-Carpiquet airport

20 minutes by car. It is the shortest way in; domestic flights and a few European routes land there.

By taxi or ride-hailing

Uber covers the area and is ordered from the app. From Caen or the airport it is the simplest option if you have no car.

By bicycle

Guests regularly arrive by bike — the bocage lends itself to it and the roads are quiet. Tell us when booking and we will store the bikes under cover.

By train

Caen station (Paris–Saint-Lazare, about 2 hrs), then 35 minutes by car, taxi or ride-hailing. There is no bus line to the château.

Once here

Free private parking in the courtyard, no booking needed. A car remains necessary to explore the region.

Around the château

A base, not a detour

Normandy is best visited in a star pattern: you sleep in one place and set off in a different direction each morning. The château sits at the centre of that star — the D-Day beaches, Bayeux, Caen, the Côte Fleurie and Mont-Saint-Michel: each fits into a day.
