The estate, season by season

Forty-two hectares (about 104 acres) don't fit in one photograph. Here are a few, taken over the months — the flowers, the water, the stone, and whatever pulls into the courtyard.

The seasons

Four faces of the same park

Cherry blossom in April, roses against the stone in June, leaves on the drive in October, snow in January.

The estate

Water, meadows, box hedges

Two ponds, a formal garden, and meadows out to the hedgerows. From the air you grasp at once what forty-two hectares mean.

The house

Stone, wisteria, mist

The château rewards a closer look too: a statue brought back from Italy, a wisteria covering a gable, and the mornings when the pond steams.

In the courtyard

What our guests bring along

Nobody arranged these: they are guests' cars, parked one morning in front of the box hedges.

In motion

What lives here

A few seconds say more than a photograph about ducklings, cats and water. Tap to play.
